For the 2018 Murano Glass Art Society conference Trautman Art Glass has teamed up with Chris Hurley to express our color palette!

Each color has been made into a contemporary Venetian style goblet that displays its effects when used in some of the most common lampworking techniques: deep encasements, mild encasements, and non-encasements.

For reference, each goblet is accompanied with the color name, catalogue number, and working tips.

We did a limited run of this edition for the GAS conference, and this poster will be added to all online orders for the next few weeks!

In the early 1980's Paul Trautman began mixing color and developing melting techniques for borosilicate glass in his small garage studio. He was creating new colors in a medium that was for the most part colorless. Since then, a whole palette has developed, an entire industry has grown, and Trautman Art Glass is still exploring the limits of the colored glass spectrum.
